True Meaning Of Christmas
The angel came upon Mary and told Mary, you will give birth to a baby boy and name him Jesus. Mary not being never married and was a virgin. Now this was not a ordinary birth. Her husband to be did not believe this first. Mary's husband to be name is Joseph. Joseph questioned the angel; "Who would ever believe that Mary gave birth, everybody assuming in her village that she was a virgin and not married. The angel came to them in their dreams that this is true! Assuming that nobody in their village would even consider believing such story. When Joseph and Mary traveled from their home to Nazareth to Bethlehem, ( near Jerusalem), they had to register their names with Roman government. They probably had to hear many unkind words from many people in their home town. Joseph and Mary traveled on a donkey to escaped the people's ignorance and harsh words.
When Joseph and Mary arrived to their destination, they were worried and upset from not knowing nobody or what was before them. They first stopped at a hotel and ask the hotel keeper but the clerk said there is no room in the hotel but there is room in the stable where other travelers kept their horses and donkeys. Assuming the stable was cold, drafty, smelly, Joseph and Mary was very tired from traveling all night and Joseph was concern for Mary who was pregnant and carrying the baby Jesus in her womb. Joseph fixed up the stable to make it more comfortable stay for Mary. That night Christmas day, December 23, Mary gave birth to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! They had no place or bed for the baby to sleep so Joseph had tp prepare a bed for the new babe. He used a feeding box that was used to place feed in for the animals, than he gathered dry grass that they fed the animals, filled the feeding box up with the dry grass to make it suitable so the baby Jesus had a warm bed to sleep in.
Today, Christmas gifts and sending out Christmas card, all the trimmings on the tree is very beautiful but in real truth it is not the real meaning of Christmas. I believe many forgets the true meaning and the truth of Christmas. Truth , it had to be very scary and lonely for Joseph and Mary for they were so far away from their family and friends. The travel distance I am assuming must be very stressful and tiring on both of the new parents and must have been very uncomfortable for Mary being pregnant and riding on a donkey traveling such distance to another far country away from their home. What I read in the bible about Joseph and Mary and the birth of Jesus, it is possible that from the long traveling Jesus I am second guessing that he may have been born premature but healthy. Being born in the stables and a manager, a very awkward and poor beginning and place for Jesus to start his new life.
Our Heavenly Father in Heaven had it all planned out down to the T. God sent His Only Begotten Son, John 3:16, says that in God's word. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son to be born to virgin Mary for Jesus to walk upon the earth to witness to many who would listen, and many miracles Jesus had done. Heal the blind man so he can see, rose the child from the dead, many others. The day came when Jesus scarficed His life, the crowd of people found him guilty, shouted Crucify! Crucify Him! Gathering that Jesus earthly parents Joseph and Mary were present the day the place judgement on their sons, many tears that believe in the savior shed.
Today Christmas is spelled shorten and Christ's name is taken from the word Christmas, many spells Christmas XMAS! It is sad when I see this, when I hear the story of the birth of Jesus and see signs in front of lawns or on house Merry Xmas, it makes me want to go and tear down that sign or rewrite it. Merry Christmas! Today, they have Black Fridays where people do their Christmas shopping, it is crazy on this day, I don't even want to go to the stores. The true meaning of Christmas in many are forgotten, today is about receiving gifts, trimming the tree, decorating so forth. It is nice receiving gifts and enjoying family gathering for the holidays but the truth and the real meaning of this special holiday is the birth of our Lord and Savior! My husband and I we bake a cake for Jesus and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus! just like any of us, we enjoy our birthdays, receiving gifts and being remember, well I know I do. Jesus wants us to remember his birthday to and not be forgotten. Think about it. This Christmas holiday it is just going to be my husband and I alone for on the holidays, we are not going to buy gifts or decorate we can't afford it but that is okay, we're going to celebrate Christmas by remember the birth of our Savior!
Christmas is a time of giving not receiving all the time. If you someone in your neighborhood or close by, maybe an elderly couple or one, or a single mother trying to make her children Christmas special, bake a batch of cookies or something. I am sure that elderly people would just be thankful for the company or the visit, knowing that you took your time out this holiday just stop by and say hello or brought by some cookies. Make your Christmas meaningful this year and remember the birth of our Savior! Merry Christmas and Happy Thanksgiving to all my dear gathering friends, Have a safe and blessed holiday! Thanksgiving, let us be thankful and count our blessings! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS! THANK-YOU!

Christmas began to commemorate an anniversary of Jesus' birth. Satan is very good at what he does. It took him many years but Christmas has lost its meaning for so many people. Most do not even consider Jesus at all this time of year and just are concerned with time off work or money or what someone else will give them. Christmas is about giving and what was given for us. Christmas gives way to Easter and the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord. If Christmas has been forgotten then Easter has been distroyed for the majority of people. Thank you sister for reminding us of the gift given for us on Christmas. Merry Christmas.
